 SPECIALLY ABOUT THE FUN PART OF FOOD: EATING !

YEAH YEAH… I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE THINKING : ¨WHEN IM HUNGRY I WANT TO EAT …NOT TO COOK¨

FAIR ENOUGH, BUT CULTIVATING PATIENCE IS ALSO PART OF OUR NINJA COOK TRAINING (I.E. MIND CONTROL =)

SOON YOU WILL LEARN HOW TO DISHES SIMULTANEOUSLY... WITH DIFFERENT PREPARATION TIMES SO YOU CAN START QUALITY MUNCHING ON SOMETHING WHILE THE REST IS DONE.

YOU´LL BE TO THE STOVE LIKE THE DJ  TO THE TURNTABLES
(but cooler , with more turntables and without playback =) )


IN ORDER TO HAVE PERFECT MEALS AND BE HAPPY… WE MUST KNOW HOW TO COOK IN EVERY CIRCUMSTANCES, WITH WHATEVER WE HAVE AT HAND AND WITHOUT DEPENDING ON RECIPES.

 SO... YOU WONT FIND EXACT OR OFFICIAL RECIPES HERE.
YOU WILL FIND GENERAL FEELINGS ABOUT COOKING…
SORT OF A FOOD DIARY THAT IM WILLING TO DOCUMENT AND SHARE.

I CALL IT SOUL COOKING WHICH IS A FANCY WORD FOR : MOSTLY RANDOM SHIT I COME UP WITH, GIVEN MY PRECARIOUS STUDENT LIFE.
(I.E. LOW BUDGET , LOTS OF HUNGER , BUSY AND ECO LOCO )
BUT I WILL ALSO POST THINGS I EAT IN THE STREET, AT FRIENDS HOUSES , CAMPING… WHATEVER IS GENIUS.

LETS COOK WITHOUT RECIPE AND WITHOUT PLAN.
SOUL COOKING STARTED BECAUSE  I AM ALWAYS ALMOST OUT OF EVERYTHING IN THE KITCHEN, AND THAT IS WHERE CREATIVITY KICKS IN.

I ALWAYS TRY TO BUY THE SEASONAL STUFF , BECAUSE IS THE CHEAPEST AND BEST QUALITY. SOMETIMES I EVEN RESCUE FOOD FROM THE DUMPSTERS (since I live in Europe atm, where they throw away perfectly fine food. not acceptable)

I ALSO PREFER TO COOK FROM SCRATCH AND AVOID PROCESSED FOODS.

SOME REASONS:

  • THE FOOD INDUSTRY GIVES A FUCK ABOUT YOUR HEALTH.
  • IT IS 10ˆ1000 TIMES MORE DELICIOUS
  • YOU KNOW EXACTLY ALL THE INGREDIENTS IN YOUR MEAL.
  • $$$$$$$ 
  • LESS TOXINS ACCUMULATE THROUGH THE FOOD CHAIN
  • SUPPORT LOCAL MARKETS AND FARMERS 
  • WE ARE HUMANS… WE SHOULD KNOW HOW TO PROCESS RAW FOOD!! (do you want to be in my post-apocalyptic team? boiling pasta or microwaving is no skill then) 



I HOPE THIS BLOG HELPS MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS TO DEVELOP THEIR FEELING FOR COOKING. WITHOUT PRESSURE , WITHOUT RULES… WITHOUT SPENDING MUCH MONEY NOR TIME  AND , MORE IMPORTANTLY , BRINGING HAPPINESS TO YOUR LIFE AND YOUR FRIENDS.

I REALLY BELIEVE THAT EATING WELL, AND WITH A RICH DIVERSITY IS A FUNDAMENTAL ASPECT OF OUR DAILY ATTITUDE TOWARDS LIFE AND PEOPLE. MEMORIES OF FLAVORS AND COLORS MAKE YOU SMILE THROUGH THE DAY AND PROBABLY MAKE YOU MORE INTELLIGENT SINCE YOU PROCESS BOMBS OF SENSORIAL DATA, INSTEAD OF FROZEN STUFF OR THE TYPICAL STUDENT PASTA.

SO ,  AS MY MAIN MAN BOB ROSS USED TO SAY : WE DONT MAKE MISTAKES , JUST HAPPY ACCIDENTS =)

 IF SOMETHING IS NOT PERFECT… STILL EAT IT SINCE IT IS YOUR CREATION… AND BY EATING IT YOU WILL LEARN AND REMEMBER EXACTLY HOW TO AVOID THIS MISTAKE IN THE FUTURE.
LETS GO FOR THE CERO WASTE… WASTING FOOD GIVES YOU BAD KARMA AND IS NOT FOR NINJAS. AS WE ALL ARE =)
